How Dynamic Chiropractic Is Making A Difference This Chiropractic Awareness Week!

British Chiropractic Association

At Dynamic Chiropractic, we’re proud to celebrate Chiropractic Awareness Week (28th April – 4th May), raising awareness of the importance of musculoskeletal (MSK) health and the part chiropractic plays in helping people live healthier lives.

This year marks a special milestone as the British Chiropractic Association (BCA) celebrates its 100th anniversary! For a century, the BCA has championed chiropractic care, supporting communities and promoting a healthier future for all.

Now, in a time where MSK conditions are one of the leading causes of work absences in the UK, the BCA are campaigning for increased chiropractic integration within the NHS, with recent research showing that chiropractors have the capacity to treat up to 200,000 additional patients each year.

Making a real impact …

At Dynamic Chiropractic, we’re passionate about improving the MSK health of our community. This year, we’re proud to launch our very own screening/advisory service, aimed at providing practical support and guidance to locals who need it most.
Our team of 6 dedicated professionals will be on hand to give advice to those people who are unsure how to alleviate their pain.
Doug Clark at Dynamic Chiropractic, said:
“Chiropractic Awareness Week marks an important moment in the year when we can reflect on how Dynamic Chiropractic can make a positive impact locally. That’s why we are excited to launch this community initiative to help support the people of Sale to be pain free.”

Here are some tips and tricks you can add into your daily routine to support your spine and keep the back pain at ease:

Tips to keep MSK pain at ease

Take a stand: Inactivity is a leading cause of back pain. If you spend most of your day sitting down, make sure that you take regular breaks, ideally every 20-30 minutes. Stand up, change position and walk around a little.
Get active: Exercise is key to a healthy back. This doesn’t mean that you need to embark on any extreme fitness regimes. Adding just a few extra minutes of walking a day can hugely benefit your posture.
Stretch it out: If you struggle to get away from your seat at work, simple activities such as stretching, shoulder shrugging or even fidgeting in your seat can help to keep your back in line.
Check your workspace: If you spend most of your day at a desk, make sure your setup promotes good posture. Adjust your screen height and chair position until you are comfortable and supported.
Perfect your sleeping position: Your sleep posture can also impact how you feel in the morning. Avoid stacking pillows too high and try starting on your side with your neck and spine aligned. This simple adjustment could work wonders for your sleep quality and back pain.
